Corpus frame

The corpus applies one lens to many domains: what mechanisms produce the outcome? It shares four methodological commitments and one explicit directional commitment. Each linked page argues for its part; the links are derivations and disputes, not evidence inherited by every page. The directional commitment does not by itself settle system boundary, distribution, sacrifice, or institutional authority.

  1. Mechanisms are what act. Incentive gradients, selection pressures, feedback loops, and capital stocks produce the distribution of outcomes. Intentions, labels, official categories, and stated values are evidence about mechanisms, or are themselves coordination mechanisms. They are not causal substitutes. — Mechanism Realism · Only Selection
  2. The reference telos is sustained flourishing. The broadest achievable adaptive safety margin over deep time — not the continuity of any incumbent state, coalition, institution, or doctrine. A mechanism's own stated goal can still serve as a local proof obligation — showing that its incentives defeat even the purpose it claims is a bounded finding — but meeting that goal establishes nothing about the margin. — Flourishing Is Maximum Safety Margin
  3. Law, rights, legitimacy, democracy, markets, and sovereignty are mechanisms under evaluation. They are constraints, carriers, or proxies inside the analysis. None is a terminal value or a boundary of what is real. Treating one as terminal ends the mechanism search before it starts. Evaluation carries current function, replacement cost, path dependence, uncertainty, capture risk, reversibility, and who bears model error into the ledger. — The Stack · Mechanism Space
  4. Optimization is a system function. A civilization has to build, exercise, and revise metamechanisms that search mechanism-space, discard dominated options, install, observe effects, and repair under uncertainty. Not running that loop leaves margin unrealized, and that is itself the failure. No single component — analyst, model, or institution — is presumed to contain a global optimum; the capacity is a property of the system. — Telic Systems · The Three-Layer Architecture
  5. Uncertainty is preserved, not spent. Partial orders, binding constraints, unknowns, and residuals stay explicit. An unmeasured effect is not a favorable default. — The Compression Paradox · Cargo Cult Epistemology

Each essay bears its own evidence. Links carry definitions, derivations, applications, and disputes; they do not transfer proof. Criticism is answered on its substance.

Vacancy is scored as no one accountable loop while the same section names CPB, What Works Centres, and the Wales Future Generations Commissioner as already performing the pieces. A loop can run across offices. "They do not assemble" is not yet a failing network; it is the observation that they are not one office.

If the leftover of distributed components is that nobody can be fired when the loop fails, that is a preference for a single owner. A published chain across three offices that shows which step died can still be the assembled function. Without a passing network next to a failing one, "one accountable loop" is a centralization ask wearing a vacancy claim.

If the leftover is cross-domain tracing, the missed crossing has to be named. A tax model that already scores housing and pensions may already be that crossing. Until the missed pair is named, "cross-domain" means "not everything," which no existing institution will pass, and survey-bounded near-vacancy is automatic.

D agreeing then moving the topic is a room rule in a chat whose job was not to stand up a governance institution. A topic boundary after "agreed" is not the severed map unless the same people refuse the synthesis in a venue whose job is the synthesis. One chat is not that venue.

Cochrane and Deming filled the engineering layer in one domain. That licenses domain-bounded occupancy, which the page already files as corners. Using those visits to license a cross-domain assembled function is the grand-theory move the should-be-empty objection names. The visitors kill meta without grounding. They do not show that stitching medicine, factories, and law into one loop is the next job.

The page's own productive-case rule is object-level depth. Cross-domain means many objects. Depth that does not travel would empty the synthesis without the six barriers. Then vacancy is what the grounding rule predicts, not what the barrier list produced.

The visitors refute ungrounded grand theory. They do not tell whether a cross-domain loop would beat the domain-bounded shops already in place. "Should exist, blocked" and "should not, because depth does not scale" are different empties. The essay treats them as one. Stop: no further test from this branch.

Independently sufficient and overdetermined do not sit together. Overdetermined means you cannot see which lock is doing the work. Independently sufficient means leaving any one lock in place still empties the slot. Six listed reasons without a community that had five missing and still failed do not identify six separate locks.

The isolating community would have to be a field with a journal, a career path, and short feedback that still never built the loop. If that community cannot be named, the list is a pile of reasons, not six separate locks. "Overdetermined vacancy" then means "there are many reasons," which can still be true and is a weaker claim. Stop on that contraction.

Named heuristics plus a language model are said to approximate a large fraction of the meta-level function. The thesis's empty slot is owners of diagnosis-to-institution-to-self-audit. Listing what an analysis treats as fixed is analysis — the first of the three levels, already crowded. If the laptop procedure fills the third level, occupancy is already happening. If it does not, the first fix does not fill the vacancy the title named.

The artifacts at the close — a law-from-amendment-history compiler, an audit of whether a bill's mechanisms do what the bill says — are building, not heuristics. Then the third level has visitors again. Empty would have to mean no department, which is already the institutional barrier, not a missing third level. A pile of tools and a missing job ladder are different claims; the thesis uses both.

If the heuristics are not occupancy, section V's first fix is a training trick for analysts and does not populate owners, institutions, or self-audit. The second fix — one office with bounded authority — is the occupancy proposal. Treating three partial solutions as ways to fill one slot hides that only the second aims at the thesis.
