Section II treats concentric capture as a maintained political order whose cost cliff is kept steep by specialized policing roles. Section V's Smolin specimen treats the same bonding as producing capture without anyone designing it. A cop and an undesigned lock are different mechanisms filed under one name.

The cop/geometry split is scored on one cluster: a named role whose removal would flatten defection costs means the mechanism is policing; a small break that still cliffs all four axes with no such role means bonding without a cop. Smolin is written as the second; the policing paragraph is the first.

Slow external feedback is listed as an independent rigid-solid condition, with software as the fast-feedback contrast. Crypto stayed trapped despite negative feedback because cheap capital suspended repricing, and 2008 is both rent (paid defense) and a failed capture-rupture via bailouts. Paying to stop the test is the material axis, so slow feedback is not a sixth independent condition.

Crypto is a material monopoly: near-zero rates were the cluster's money, not an asterisk on the software contrast. Recoded that way, crypto is rigid-solid on the material axis, viscous still means that axis is liquid, and the leftover is whether slow feedback names anything else.

Keep slow feedback as its own knob and add a seventh condition: the test can be bought off (cheap capital, bailouts, a platform that will not clear prices). The software contrast then becomes "nobody is paying to stop the re-pricing," which the six conditions have no slot for.

Section IV grades 2008 as rent rather than a multi-axial cognitive trap. Section VI grades the same crash as a failed rupture of a captured macroeconomic cluster, with leftover energy in 2016. If it is rent, the 2016 transfer is another paper. If it is this trap, rent is the material axis, not a parallel mechanism.

Core/periphery is load-bearing: it lets pruning and hidden dissent sit together. Occupancy is then situational — the same actor is core in a meeting and periphery with friends — so the split can always recode sincere speech as core and a private joke as periphery. Nothing in that sorting would force the split to fail.

The discriminator is cost-off, labelled hypothetical: if the frame cannot be produced with no audience and no grant, that is pruning; if it can, the meeting was periphery-price. Jiang and Yang show hidden dissent. Core-pruning is read off sincerity, which a careful periphery also performs.

Pre-positioning is advised when the incumbent sits on a forced trajectory, not against fashion, which can mutate indefinitely. Smolin's string-theory row is the clean rigid-solid specimen and lists no thermodynamic or demographic floor. A research fashion can mutate for decades, so the best-worked trap is the object the strategy says not to bet on.

Forced versus fashion has to be tellable before the shock. If the only way to know is that stagflation later happened, "forced" names the cases that broke. Smolin either needs a physical constraint the page did not name, or it is the wrong object for a thirty-year building bet.
