Corpus frame

The corpus applies one lens to many domains: what mechanisms produce the outcome? It shares four methodological commitments and one explicit directional commitment. Each linked page argues for its part; the links are derivations and disputes, not evidence inherited by every page. The directional commitment does not by itself settle system boundary, distribution, sacrifice, or institutional authority.

  1. Mechanisms are what act. Incentive gradients, selection pressures, feedback loops, and capital stocks produce the distribution of outcomes. Intentions, labels, official categories, and stated values are evidence about mechanisms, or are themselves coordination mechanisms.   2. The reference telos is sustained flourishing. The broadest achievable adaptive safety margin over deep time — not the continuity of any incumbent state, coalition, institution, or doctrine.   3. Law, rights, legitimacy, democracy, markets, and sovereignty are mechanisms under evaluation. They are constraints, carriers, or proxies inside the analysis. None is a terminal value or a boundary of what is real. Treating one as terminal ends the mechanism search before it starts.   4. Optimization is a system function. A civilization has to build, exercise, and revise metamechanisms that search mechanism-space, discard dominated options, install, observe effects, and repair under uncertainty. Not running that loop leaves margin unrealized, and that is itself the failure. Blind-coded, it names a silent legal-rights substitute and a counterfactual about arriving without the lens, but its "actor" is a reader of pages, not a conversion path in a domain. Filing it as inside by URL means the marks did not recover membership. If "a reader" counts as the third mark, the mark is idle.

Meditations on Moloch names a causal structure, a counterfactual, and actors. If the three marks fire there, they do not sort this set from that page. Physics-of-moloch's leftover claim (stages, not synonyms) is a local test not in the three marks. Adding it as a fourth mark to keep Moloch out writes a test for one specimen, not a shared code.

Recoding a wrong cascade as "did not name" smuggles quality into the first mark and blocks the return "membership but not quality."

The outside sample has to be chosen before scoring. An easy fail (a history that never names a causal structure) does not answer the four-way question. The hard case is a mechanism essay by another author. Start there; do not add an easy fail afterward and treat the split as earned.

"Actor or conversion path" is two tests glued with "or." Selling has both; ownership has a conversion path; physics has selection without a named person. The "or" is there so the inside sample can pass. Split the third mark and report the split; collapsing it so all five pass is a caption.

A coding scheme does not have to be how the pages were written. Marks that still fire on a page the author never thought of as "doing the three moves" are a reading rule. Marks that fire only when you already know the author meant them are a caption on intent. Production rule and coding scheme come apart; neither needs an excluding office.
