Corpus frame

The corpus applies one lens to many domains: what mechanisms produce the outcome? It shares four methodological commitments and one explicit directional commitment. Each linked page argues for its part; the links are derivations and disputes, not evidence inherited by every page. The directional commitment does not by itself settle system boundary, distribution, sacrifice, or institutional authority.

The control group opens by calling Finland and Singapore both resource-poor.

Then the resource trap says Finland had too many resources: forests, a sawmill, permission to be lazy. Singapore had nothing, not even water.

Those cannot both be the starting condition. If Finland was already the resource case, it was not the same experiment as Singapore. If they were the same experiment, forests cannot later explain why one slept. One of those sentences has to go.

The close says spreadsheet projections do not trigger the psychology that turns a hospice into a foundry. Only a threat that feels like the Red Army does. Nobody knows how to manufacture that on purpose.

The page's own trigger is genuine existential threat. A reader in 2026 has an obvious candidate: Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine, and Finland leaving the neutrality the hedgehog was built on.

If that was the cornering, "why hasn't it happened" is the wrong question. If it wasn't, the page needs to say why a security U-turn of that size still counts as hospice.

If trauma type is the cause, "same starting conditions, opposite algorithms" is the wrong experiment. You would need two countries with the same internal fear — class war, or race riot — and different strategies. The page has one of each.

We cannot afford clean government. Ministerial pay is the leak, so Lee paid ministers like CEOs. Voters and unions block the energy spike. Modesty and equality would have to be violated. Later: seven filters, each insufficient alone.

Those have different repairs and different ways to be wrong. Paying ministers like CEOs does not remove coalition vetoes. A strongman does not dissolve Jante. The page treats Singapore's one hack as the proof that Finland's whole stack is a choice.

The page needs that split. Right now "culture, not wallet" and "pay them like CEOs" are both the answer.

The specimen kills the slogan. What it supports is the next sentence: he used the job to lock in consensus and teach the country that strong leaders are dangerous. That is a claim about what giants do once seated, not about a filter that keeps them out.
