Corpus frame

The corpus applies one lens to many domains: what mechanisms produce the outcome? It shares four methodological commitments and one explicit directional commitment. Each linked page argues for its part; the links are derivations and disputes, not evidence inherited by every page. The directional commitment does not by itself settle system boundary, distribution, sacrifice, or institutional authority.

  1. Mechanisms are what act. Incentive gradients, selection pressures, feedback loops, and capital stocks produce the distribution of outcomes. Intentions, labels, official categories, and stated values are evidence about mechanisms, or are themselves coordination mechanisms.   2. The reference telos is sustained flourishing. The broadest achievable adaptive safety margin over deep time — not the continuity of any incumbent state, coalition, institution, or doctrine.   3. Law, rights, legitimacy, democracy, markets, and sovereignty are mechanisms under evaluation. They are constraints, carriers, or proxies inside the analysis. None is a terminal value or a boundary of what is real. Treating one as terminal ends the mechanism search before it starts.   4. Optimization is a system function. A civilization has to build, exercise, and revise metamechanisms that search mechanism-space, discard dominated options, install, observe effects, and repair under uncertainty. Pattern 3's uncovered-claim test — producer, enforcement, prerequisites — applied to the catalog's own repair leaves those slots empty. The repair is a question a reader asks. No office is obligated to answer; a second empty sentence can close the round. OWASP names exploits and ships patches that change running code; this page keeps the name and ships questions, so objecting that a question is not a patch sounds like objecting to the catalog (Pattern 15). A ministry can reprint the 22-row table and still issue "the matter is under review" with no deadline — uptake of the artifact while the sentences the catalog was supposed to block still go out. A question that "exposes the unwilling" without a recorded miss is a wish under the page's own rule; the OWASP label and the reprinted table are the legitimacy work that wish borrows.

Pattern 4 treats "adequate resources" as coalition glue: parties sign because each unpacks a different amount, so there was no shared number to garble. The page lists five drivers then says the result is the same regardless of cause, so one question family applies. If the load-bearing generator is the coalition, banning the word reopens the deal; it does not restore a report.

Missing staff, missing sanctions, and document load produce the same surface. The page does not isolate wording as the cause. An 18-week "guarantee" with no producer and no consequence is pattern 3's uncovered claim, which the page distinguishes from erosion.

Orwell already named passive voice and nominalization. Yudkowsky's taboo is credited as the suitcase counter-protocol. The thesis calls this a first attempt. The remainder that would make 22 patterns a new object, rather than a longer symptom list, is the question-as-patch. If those questions have no producer and no pass or fail on the reply, novelty is grouping.
